Tecnavia at the Newsroom Summit 2024: Innovation in Action
Tecnavia was proud to take part as a sponsor at the Newsroom Summit 2024, held at Tamedia in Zurich from October 21–23 and organized by WAN-IFRA, the World Association of News Publishers. The event brought together leading minds in journalism, technology, and publishing to explore the future of newsrooms in an ever-evolving digital landscape.
One of the key highlights was the presentation by Alberto Marello, Editorial Director of Il Piccolo di Alessandria, who showcased the newspaper’s digital transformation journey in partnership with Tecnavia. His case study offered a compelling look into how a local paper transitioned from a traditional print operation to a dynamic Digital First newsroom powered by Tecnavia’s comprehensive CMS platform.
Thanks to this collaboration, Il Piccolo now manages content for eight newspapers through a single, unified system. With seamless integration across web and mobile platforms, as well as tools like Digital First and direct InDesign integration, the newsroom is able to streamline workflows, produce print editions from digital content, and respond to news in real time.
Discussions at the summit also delved into AI in journalism, a topic Tecnavia and Il Piccolo are actively exploring to enhance efficiency, support editorial decisions, and better engage audiences.
The Summit was a true exchange of ideas, offering workshops, technical sessions, and invaluable networking moments. We return inspired, reaffirmed in our commitment to innovation, and more determined than ever to support news publishers on their journey into the future.
Thank you to WAN-IFRA and all the participants for an unforgettable experience. See you at the next edition!
